Rousey vs Cyborg, who's ducking who?

The name Mike Tyson is probably not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the UFC Women's Bantamweight Division. But that name gets thrown around a lot after a dominant victory by the champion Ronda Rousey. With four of her last five title defenses ending in the first round, and her latest ending in 14 seconds its no wonder why she's compared to "The Baddest Man on the Planet." But there is another name that we hear after a successful title defense by the undefeated champion and that is Cris Cyborg.

With an impressive record of her own, Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino seems to be the Pacquiao to Rousey's Mayweather (or Mayweather to her Pacquiao....however you see it.) Fight fans on both corners of the octagon want to see this fight and find out who the "Baddest WOMAN on the Planet" is. But for now, this fight will not be taking place and its all over 10 lbs as Cyborg is the Invicta World Featherweight Champion(145 lbs) while Rousey is the UFC Bantamweight Champion(135 lbs) with no intentions of moving up in weight.
Rousey has made it clear that she has no desire to move up to even a catch weight and that has resulted in criticism of the current champ. A consensus of fight fans believe she is too scared to fight Cyborg and is in fact using weight as an excuse to avoid stepping into the octagon with her. But it takes two fighters making weight to have a good fight and Cyborg has shown the same hesitation to drop down to the bantamweight class that the UFC and Rousey want the fight to be in, so why is Rousey the one catching grief?

There are those who say she has to cut weight to be at 135 lbs so why not cut less weight and make it happen? But the fact that Rousey cuts weight to be at 135 lbs is a testament to her athleticism and should not be skewed to question the champions willingness to take on any challenge.

Cyborg on the other hand has had trouble making weight even at 145 lbs. While in training for her fight with Hiroko Yamanaka, Cyborg admitted she had to take supplements to aide in her in what she called a difficult weight cut. According to Cyborg, someone in her camp provided the supplement which would later prove to have a trace amount of steroid. The California State Athletic Commission would turn Cyborgs fight with Yamanaka into a N/C but the damage in the court of public opinion might have already been done. So why not drop down to 135 lbs, beat Ronda Rousey, and show the world that the weight and steroid issues would not stop her from being the best in the world.

Dana White made it clear at the post fight press conference of UFC 184, Rousey wants to fight Cyborg whenever she makes  135 lbs. He went on to say "make 135 lbs and this fight will happen." So is it really Ronda who is standing in the way of the big fight? Or does a lot of blame need to be put on the fighter that extended the challenge and is not willing to make weight?
